MDC University Day is available in the following two formats.
Introductory, which is geared towards anyone who desires to understand the basic concepts of the Common Information Model (CIM), Web Based Enterprise Management (WBEM), Management Profiles and Management Initiatives.
Advanced, is for anyone who has a working knowledge of the Common Information Model (CIM) and Web Based Enterprise Management (WBEM).

Payment Policy
Payment must accompany registration. Registrations without payment will not be processed. Company checks must be made out to "Management Developers Conference" and payable in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank. Credit card payment requires card number, signature and expiration date.
Companies that prefer to use a PO, can contact sales (registrations will not be active until payment is received).
Confirmation and Cancellation
All registrations received by November 1, 2010 will be confirmed by e-mail. Please allow 1 to 2 weeks for confirmation to be received. All registrants will be able to pick up their badge and other materials on-site. The last day to pre-register is November 13, 2010. After that date, please bring your completed registration form to our on-site registration area and it will be processed immediately.
Cancellations made by October 9, 2010 will be accepted subject to a 50% cancellation service charge. Confirmed registrants who do not attend the conference or cancel after October 9, 2010 are liable for the entire registration fee. All cancellations must be received in writing and can be e-mailed to registration@mandevcon.com. Please note: non-payment does not constitute cancellation. Substitutions may be made at any time prior to November 13, 2010. Badges shall be worn at all times

Introductory
The intended audience is anyone who desires to understand the basic concepts of the Common Information Model (CIM) and Web Based Enterprise Management (WBEM).
This session provides an introduction to the basic concepts of the Common Information Model (CIM) and Web Based Enterprise Management (WBEM) technologies. Prior knowledge of CIM and WBEM is not required. Attendees will learn the significance of using an object-oriented data model to manage the enterprise. Attendees will also be exposed to other technologies and activities that complement the use of CIM and WBEM such as the Storage Management Initiative (SMI) and System Management Architecture for Server Hardware (SMASH).

The intended audience are Software Developers/Engineers who have a working knowledge of the Common Information Model (CIM) and Web-Based Enterprise Management (WBEM).
This session teaches how to use CIM to solve management problems within an enterprise computing environment. To perform a specific management task, a set of CIM Classes and properties must be used. Such sets are known as Profiles. Using real world examples, this session will go through the process of defining Profiles for implementing interoperable CIM-based solutions..
